Selling inherited property

I am in the process of selling an inherited property but I am unclear about the procedure for transferring the title deeds and have been struggling to find guidance.

After probate has been obtained do I have to transfer the deeds from the deceased person to the beneficiary (myself) before selling the property?

    No. Find a buyer in the usual way and the sale can be direct from deceased to buyer.

    You will need to lodge Will/Probate documents etc to prove you have the right to sell.

    If you are going to do the conveyancing yourself - don't, as you seem not to understand the process.

    If you plan to use a solicitor, he/she will do all this for you - very common.
