    NHS?

If so, the question has been asked before...

Why not speak to the dentist in the first place?

Within 2 months it sounds like it should be rectification work irrespective of if NHS or Private but ultimately it would probably require a check first as evidently if you've eating nothing but sweets and full fat coke and not brushed your teeth since the work then it could be a new issue rather than defective work.

Probably - as long as the filling was what the dentist recommended.

If the dentist had said "That tooth needs a crown" and you'd said you didn't want a crown, so the dentist had just filled it for you but said "That might not last" - then it's not a guaranteed treatment.
    How to find a dentist.
    1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
    2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
    3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
    4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.

Thanks, I am seeing the dentist this Wednesday, hope i don't have to pay again. I did ask if a cap can be fitted and she said No' as there is not enough space. After filling she said, it may not hold for very long, don't know what to make of all that.
