£5 off £10 spend with Tesco Direct Catalogue spring/Summer 2007

I got one today too same code, DH wants a ghetto blaster for his workshop so in effect it will be free delivery. Triple points for 2 weeks too! Shame it's not accepting codes at the mo, I'll have to try again later. Also shame I can't pick up from my local!

Please forgive my ignorance, but what is a "till spit"? Also, are people saying that I will get £5 off a £10 spend if I go to Tesco, get a catalogue and have it scanned at the checkout? Sorry to sound naive, but I am new to all this - it's a whole new world to me!!!!!!

Hiya, welcome to MSE renard! :T

A till-spit is the bit of extra receipt the till 'spits out' sometimes after your receipt (e.g. you may have had money off petrol or extra clubcard points offers on a till-spit before). So this coupon is churned out automatically after your receipt, if you get a free catalogue scanned with your shopping.

The £5 off £10 spend is only off Tesco.Direct purchases, so is best used if you live near a large store where they have a Tesco Direct desk (these are listed on page 1076 of the catalogue, there are not many yet). Then you would really get the benefit of the fiver off a small spend and you can collect the item then and there. Otherwise, if you use it as an online code it just offsets the delivery charge I guess.

I got a till-spit one of these today and there is no barcode so it cannot be used at a normal till.

When I logged in to Tesco Direct this morning and went to the checkout, my basket total had been reduced by £5, so obviously the coupon had been accepted.

If I try and use it more than once and go to pick the items up in store do you think that they will ask for a till spit coupon each time - or wonder why I keep collecting deliveries with £5 off each time????????

Here is another code for £5 off at Tesco Direct: TDX-D34

This code is for £5 off a £50 spend, but it seems you CAN use it at the same time as the other £5 code (TDXR-DSJNNT) to get a total of £10 off!!!

Both are working online for me, taking two lots of £5 off my basket total
