They don't but people are expected to be honest as most are.

Anyway if you are going to do this won't it look suspicious if you have more than one iphone laying around that you don't want?

Also FVFs are cheaper for business sellers on phones than for private sellers (best check that though as it isn't one of my categories and I might be wrong). If you are intending to buy from a private seller and resell as a private seller why would anyone pay you more than you bought it for?

You won't get a working iPhone for £60. Unless you can refurbish faulty phones, you won't get much more than what you pay already, because retail customers are bidding alongside dealers like yourself and will probably be prepared to pay more than you - you need a mark-up, you are not going to be able to buy something that you can turn around and sell for an awful lot more. Check prices here:

As for business selling, if you buy to sell on, you are a business, no quibbles. HMRC patrol the site, eBay sort of patrol the site; you wouldn't last very long. eBay have access to personal details so they could probably tell whether or not you are buying on one account and selling on another, and after a while people will get suspicious if a load of iPhones are going through your account with no sign of business registration.

Better to do it legitimately and find a source of stock where you are not competing with consumer buyers who can pay more than you can.

Are you posting this on the official Seller Central forum as well? (There is a very similar thread there.)

Because if you are refurbishing, then that's a very different picture, definitely more viable than trying to buy these things at retail prices, and something you should have told us - it would have cut down on the sarky replies.

If it's not you, then that thread would probably give you some very interesting answers:
