Housing Benefit Question

At present I am disabled and on DLA and get housing benefit and council tax benefit. I also have one adult disabled son.
I have one healthy son who has managed to find work. (He hasnt started yet).
Can anyone tell me how this will impact on my housing benefit and council tax awards please. He will be working full time on minimum wage (I think it is £6.05 per hour).
Also, do I wait until he has completed his first month and gets his wages/wage slip before letting them know or do I let them know before he starts. (I'm concerned I will get stopped money before he receives any money at end of his first month which will make life very difficult).
Hope this makes sense.

You should be able to find the criteria for non-dependent deductions on your local council website.
Here is sample table
When are deductions not taken for non dependants?
We do not take deductions if you (the claimant) or your partner, are:- Registered blind
- Receive DLA (care component)
- Receive Attendance Allowance
