Time to move your money from Barclays

Dont take a risk with a business that is involved in fraud.
Choice is yours if you wish to deal with criminals. Be honest and move your money elsewhere.

Where would you recommend that is entirely free of the risk of fraudulent activity?0

Barclays was just the first to settle. According to reports many other major banks are being investigated. The chancellor has confirmed that these include HSBC, RBS, UBS and Citigroup
As it looks like the Co-op take over of many Lloyds branches seems to be progressing again perhaps that may be an option in the future. Personally I will avoid for at least a couple of years until any systems integration issues are past.0 -
Impossible to answer question as you as asking for information that is currently not known.
The answer is probably one of the building societies.0 -

But if you are advocating moving money out of Barclays now, it's a perfectly reasonable question to ask.
Maybe it would be more prudent to wait and see how it pans out around the banking industry.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
On a rotating plate, with spikes like Flash Gordon
And you're Peter Duncan; I gave you fair warning0 -

I've chosen Nationwide as it is building society. Honestly, can't find anything better at the moment.0

I've also done this, moved two of my bank accounts over from Barclays to Nationwide. Safer, and with no shareholders to focus on less likely to have to be involved in all that fraudulent activity to keep the share price high.
Also took out a loan from Nationwide to pay off my Barclays one first for a lower rate but secondly it feels good knowing Barclays aren't getting any more of my money!!0 -

Why is Nationwide any safer than Barclays? Building Societies aren't immune to problems - several of them have merged and been taken over in the last few years due to them heading towards collapse/financial difficulty.0 -
nationwide use the same cheating saving a/cs with 'bonus' bits that rely on people forgetting to move them0
