I have recently applied for my credit history from "EXPERIAN" due to the fact I was refused a credit card to transfer my balance onto, I received it yesterday (SATURDAY 17/03/07) and my credit shows I'm up to date and haven't missed any payments, I did apply for a couple of cards last year and a loan which were refused, what else can I do? I need transfer a balance of 4500 very soon.

Are you on the electoral register? If not then you will need to get on it, as this is a major plus if you are.

I'm on electoral role and have several active Credit Cards showing that have £0 balance and haven't been used for years.
Also has several car insurance quotes showing up0 -

Either appeal the decision, informing them that you are closing these accounts down, or close them down and wait until they are marked as settled on your CRA report before applying elsewhere. Also has several car insurance quotes showing up0 -
Also get your Equifax report. Maybe there is something on that?0

Hi - I had a similar problem to you - refused Credit Card (HSBC), no problems showing on Experian report, except a couple of unused credit cards with nil balance.
Then got a free report from . Again, showed no problems, but they also listed some credit cards that would be most likely to lend me, from the information on the report. Applied to Virgin, got a 0% deal until next April, without any problem :T
Will still be cancelling those unused credit cards, though.0
