DRO and being taken to court

Hope someone here can help me.

I have sent off all my paper work to cccs, they have sent me a letter today to say i need to send them a copy of my credit report from experian (I sent them a print off that i done myself)

Any way today i have a letter from northampton court for my next directory debt of £500 and i dont know what to do.

Do i still fill it out with an offer of payment or do i tell them i am applying for a DRO?

Any help much appreciated, i'm worried sick :(

    Hi,
you will come to no harm by filling in the form and making an offer to pay (perhaps a pound upwards) but you need to make sure the income / expenditure matches what you are putting in to the DRO application.
Any judgement obtained will be quashed by the DRO - even if you ignore the court completely - which is another option.
You could also ring CCCS ans ask them what they want you to do.

Try not to worry...its not really worth it. I cannot comment on DRO as I was IVA but as I was in the process of arranging my IVA I had many calls letters etc about my debts and I just called them and explained I was in process of arranging IVA. They just asked who the IVA company was and that was it really. The calls and letters gradually stopped, totally once my IVA company got involved. Just contact them...sometimes its surprising how sypathetic they are....I stress sometimes!!!;)

    Hello there.

Once the DRO is up and running those creditors included will be prevented from taking any further action against you. Even if a creditor obtains a CCJ they wouldn't be able to use any enforcement measures to try and seek payment. Once the 12 month period is up the debt would be written-off. As already mention you could ignore the claim as it sounds like your DRO is not far off, do doublecheck with CCCS as far as timescales are concerned though. If you make an offer to pay you can happily stop paying once to DRO has commenced.

    Best wishes,
