Morning all,
haven't been on the site for a while but have been keeping up my PAD. Have managed to pay something to a debt every day since I decided to kick this debt, and I know that is really great but I am feeling liek it just isn't enough!
Everyday I update my spreadsheets, send some money to a cc etc and when I get my expenses next month I will be able to pay towards a credit card nd bring my debt below £9K but i feel like I need to do more!
I have sold a couple of things on ebay and I am doing every survey that hits my inbox but still don't feel like I am doing enough. Does anyone else feel this way sometimes?
i am bringing lunch to work etc too.
probably just need to try and feel more positive! Sorry for the long post!New surname New start!

Hello again MinnieMe
It may only be a few pounds you're knocking off each time, but it's still a few pounds! You don't get to the top of a mountain in one big jump. You take it one step at a time. And no matter how small the step, it's one step closer. Remember that
You are actually doing really well so stay positive!Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -
thanks headabovewater, i really appreciate that. I guess I am seeing the big number go down - just wishing it would go down a little quicker! But you are right its going in the right direction!
have decided that I am going to make my christmas list this weekend and start trying to get a couple of presents to try and ease the money over a few months rather than all from one pay day! so I guess thats another positive step forward!New surname New start!

Exactly! Would be worse if it was going up not down!!!
Ah good for you, Miss Organised MinniMe!! I've to send out my 'no crimbo pressies' message to my bro and sisters. For one I've too many people to buy for and it costs too much. Second I ran out of pressie ideas year ago. Third I end up with junk I neither want nor need. Figure I'll stick to just buying mum and dad, all the kids, one or 2 close friends, and skip the bro/sis's. Maybe try and organise a dinner or get together or something instead. My OH hopefully will agree to just going away for a night over the holidays or something, and just split the costs
Aim for one or 2 presents a month when you're out shopping anyway. Or if you don't find something put the £ to one side so you'll not fork out everything in one pay packetWealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -
right, feeling a bit more positive today.
Another payment sent to my credit card - only £5 but thats $5 less to pay! Also bought 2 christmas presents
Off out this evening but have budgeted and should be able to spend only £10 including parking!New surname New start!

Well done last night! :T
Just wondering, is that a Pizza Express / Orange Wednesday night out? I did that soooo many times with a friend and we both got starters, mains and cinema tickets and went home with change from £10! Fab! :cool:Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -
Thanks HAW, wasn't an organised nite like that but we did use a voucher
Have sent another payment to halicrap CC - i love the thought of how much hassle it is for them to cope with all these tiny payments
Off to see the Althetics at the olympics tomorrow - very excited! Have even budgeted cash to get a couple of things while thereand although it will make next week tight before payday at least I wont feel a)depriving myself not buying anything and b) it wont be going on the card!
