Hello!
I have been on and off the forums for a couple of years and slowly reducing my debt BUT I am just back from honeymoon, have finally got a grip of everything and I am ready to kick this debt into the past!
Little bit of info, I am early 30's, earning a good salary (47K) and have around £10K of debt. The debt has been mainly increased by simply living outside of my means, for a while I was having my rent paid by work but I had to pay it first then claim it abck and it would take 8-10 weeks to get it back so I would justify spending everything on teh card saying that work owed my loads of money etc etc etc.
Well Now I am simply ready to be free from it. My new husband knows about my debt and has a small amount of his own. We are still trying to figure out joint accounts and who is paying for what in the house etc etc but agree that getting rid of our credit cards is now priority.
So I am starting off the diary to try and keep myself motivated! I am also going to pop over to the PAD thread as I used to do it and it made such a difference! Also going to sort an ebay pile at the weekend and get some things listed to try and raise a lump sum to start the ball rolling.

Thanks Headabove water.
I have brough lunch with em today to try and cut down the spending - though I will need a few bits for tea as I wont be home until 1am!!
Also been paid my expenses today so have PAD £100 to halifax CC (my only interest paying CC) and £26 to MINT CC as this is the 0% fionishing first but I want to try and clear it down a little so I dont just BT the whole thing to another 0% when it finishes!New surname New start!

I always bring a packed lunch to work. Saves a fortune! Even when I meet someone at lunch for a coffee, I'll buy the coffee but hide my sarnies under the table and eat them rather than paying out for food. Best of both in my opinion!! lol
Well done on getting some more paid off your CCFeels so good, doesn't it?!

thank you both so much
Another day and I have sent £43 to credit cards, not doing too bad - mainly as we were away for 2weeks of the month I have done less spending than usual so have more to throw at the cards this month - desperatly trying to make the most of it! Does show how much of a difference a few no spend days can make though!
Thanks for the info on the free listings day - I will look to take the photos etc and get things ready to make the most of the next one!New surname New start!
