Hotel rooms booked thru travel companies?

Would usually book flights and hotel separately but the hotel has no vacancies on their web site. I can, however get the hotel thru Jet2 when booked as a package.
Do hotels have a set number of rooms booked at some hotels? I would hate to book only to find out I will be moved elsewhere? Anyone help?

tour operators can have a number of rooms on a contract at a particular hotel.
it could be that jet2 have some of their contracted rooms available but the hotel from their own allocation are full.

If you are travelling on a popular day, perhaps pick an earlier flight to get there earlier.

In reality a hotel being totally full is quite rare, it's just that the rooms exist in blocks and each agency (including the hotel) can only sell so many. It's quite common for one website to say they are full and another to have plenty of rooms at different rates. Some chain hotels will always keep a few rooms spare for their ultra-elite loyalty club members. Always try several sites when checking for hotels.

I was once in a hotel and wanted to stop an extra night. The receptionist insisted they were full that night. So, I checked out and went to work on my laptop in the lobby to find another room in the city - and I found one in the same hotel! So I booked it, walked back to reception to check in and even got the same room back! The receptionist didn't book an eyelid.
