Do I have to sign off and then on again?

I have been offered a job starting sept 1st. In the mean time I am still looking for temp work until that begins, my new employment have however asked me in on the 5th and the 11th for induction days, which they are paying me for.
I am on JSA at present and am wondering what I need to do about these days, do I ring JSA or just tell them at my next appointment which is after the first of these dates. I dont want to get in trouble for doing the wrong thing.
Many Thanks

As I understand it, you can do 16 hours work without signing off.
If the two periods are for under 8 hours each - then only if your benefit week begins on a Tuesday as I understand it would you hit 16 hours.
Tell them at your next appointment.
It's possible if the earnings are counted against the same week that you may need to sign off, then do a 'rapid reclaim'.0 -
I'd tell them on the next appointment. Are they paying you enough to cover your expenses or your actual hourly wage. I have been on training days before and been paid £25 or so to cover expenses (i.e not wages) in getting to/from the location. That money does not need to be declared to the jobcentre. You can if you like but then they'll tell you that it doesn't matter.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

... but you do need to inform the jobcentre of your earnings as they will be taken off (after a £5 disregard) your JSA for that week. If you don't inform them, it's fraud.
Congrats on the job! :j0
