vista problems

Options
It's a long shot ... but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas what might be going wrong...

I have a Samsung digimax camera which I set up on my husbands laptop when we got it. His laptop runs on XP operating system and it set up no problems.

However, I have since got a laptop of my own and it runs on vista ... I just can't get the software to operate properly. An error message comes up saying that the programme doesn't work and will be closed.

Any ideas anyone? Many thanks in advance.

Vista is still experimental despite the fact it's been released into the public domain.

It's almost certainly a driver issue or software compatibility problem.

Any advice that you receive from me is worth exactly what you paid for it. Not a penny more or a penny less.
  • You might need to download the new drivers to make it work with Vista. They should be on the samsung website.
Don't listen to the bad things about Vista its the best

Just because it's free don't mean it's good

Just Because you read it some where don't mean it's right ;)

Have you tried runnign eh application in "XP compatibility mode" ?

Click on start, control panel, programs (you need to be in control panel home, not the classic view to see programs).

Then click on "use an old program with this verison of windows", then follow the wizard.

It may be worth trying although threres no guarantee it will work.
