Tube season ticket questions

I've just swapped jobs, with my new work in zone 2. As such, I'm thinking of swapping my current 1-5 season ticket for a 2-5 one (I won't be going through centre - Dagenham->Bermondsey). Massive saving of over £830 a year!

Now, what buses are covered on a 2-5 pass? All or just those outside centre?

Getting a refund on current pass (which is valid until Feb '13). Is it whole months from day of purchase or whole calendar months (1st July). i.e. when should I get go for a refund and what can I get back?

They will work out any refund based on how many days left on your ticket for the zone you dont want to use. The changeover should be pretty straightforward with Oyster..

your ticket will be valid on all buses in those zones.

Just to clarify...

Your new ticket will be valid on all the buses that your old ticket was, including zones one and six.

There is no concept of zones for buses.

wealdroam is correct, any Travelcard for any number of Zones is valid in all Zones (and, on selected TfL routes, even beyond the Zones)
