Fake Crocs

I bought some Crocs on Ebay from a seller who was supposed to be based in Canada, although they were sent from China. Alarm bells started ringing as they were different from the pair of Crocs I already own but I've been ill and so left it too late to open a dispute with Ebay.

I've left them a negative and some very strong feedback as this seems to be all I could do as I don't really want to go down the refund route (even if that were possible). I've now started received emails from them (not through Ebay) offering me money if I'll withdraw my feedback, which I have no intention of doing.

does this warrant any other action or should I just ignore them?

Ignore them - they cannot neg you - why worry. However, you could send info to Ebay about the seller and your suspicions if you want to.

I have several pairs of crocs all bought from 'proper' shops when we were in America. They are not all the same, some have a slightly slimmer footbed, some have a harder footbed, etc.

Apparently that's because they are made in different manufacturing plants in different countries.

I'm not saying this is the case with yours, just thought I'd mention just in case.

That's interesting, I thought the real thing would be identical, particularly as they're all marked Made in China.

DD had a few pairs from the US and hers are as you say, slightly different from UK Crocs. However, if they came direct from China I'd probably be dubious myself.

Have they got other feedback suggesting fakes?

I agree that items made in different factories can be different - this comes up regularly with the ugg boots real/fake debate.

The fact that they are offering money to remove the feedback would make me suspicious tbh. Feedback is very important. But if I was an honest seller accused of selling a fake in feedback, I would be straight on to eBay to get it removed, not offering the buyer money.
I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off :o

No, I didn 't say the US ones were different to UK ones.

They are different depending on where they are made regardless of where they are sold.

All my first lot were US ones, all different.

    Just clarifying. :)

DD's are different from her UK ones :o The 2 pairs she had from the USA are identical, but thicker than the ones she had from Sports Direct Sale.

    They've only sold 5 pairs.:o

I also notice that there are several sellers, all stating "from Canada" and all with user names that seem to be a random selection of letters.
