Amazon non-returnable item

Had nothing but amazing service from amazon again and again.

Imagine my surprise when an item i wanted to return said i would need to call their team, turns out the fish gravel i bought was listed for some reason under 'grocery' item which is non-returnable.

Asked the team member why it wasn't stated on the product page she immediately said the item would be refunded but as they where non-returnable i would have to dispose of the item as i please.

So got the item refunded and got to keep it.

Why can't all companies run their customer services like Amazon. I've had to deal with them so many times and they've been exemplary, truly above and beyond.

Thank you Amazon. Please don't change!

I couldn't agree more. I bought a microwave oven from them, on the listing it said Free Super-Saver Delivery, but when I went to check out it made me pay for delivery.

I gave them a call, they were very apologetic, said the listing was wrong and that item shouldn't be free delivery. BUT, since that was what it said, they removed the delivery charge without quibble.

Amazon customer service has been outstanding for me as well, purchased a new power supply for my PC and it failed after 4 months, they sent me a brand new replacement by next day delivery when i called them at 7pm the night before, they even paid for the old PSU to be returned to them. I don't see myself changing who i purchase from in the future as long as they keep up the good work.

sounds like the complete opposite to TheHut - i always use Amazon when prices are similar now
