natwest any success??

Options
hi i bank with natwest and was wondering if anyone tried to reclaim their bank charges back and if you were successful?

i defo think i qualify as i am in the vicious circle and cant pay my monthly bills as ive been charged that many times it is coming to a monthly basis, had many dd returned and stuff like that basically i fit nearly all of the criteria of the list...

so how would i go about it? the success rate from you guys? and how long it took? did you get a full refund or did it go off your debt?

Have a read of this useful article for details of how, and under what circumstances, a refund of bank charges can be requested.

You can't expect any bank to offer you a refund of charges that you haven't actually paid yet!

So if the bank do agree to refund any applied charges, it will go towards reducing your overdraft.

I got a letter today refunding all of my fees from Natwest. Obviously whether or not they will refund is down to individual circumstances, but in my case they have been very helpful. It's definitely worth writing to them, outlining your circumstances and seeing what they offer. There are really useful template letters on the site.
