Ferry to Ireland

Hi,
Does anyone know of any Irish ferries discount promotion codes or where to go for a good deal? Any tips would be appreciated...thinking of going from Pembroke.

Thanks in advance :)

Best tip is don't go. Too bl**dy expensive and always pi*ses down.

If you are going overnight, pay the extra and get a cabin. Trying to sleep in the reclining chairs is like spending a night in a lunatic asylum. At least, that is my experience.

If you do decide to get a cabin (and I agree that it's certainly worth it), you will have to book as early as possible as the basic 2 bed cabins get fully booked well in advance. (unless you are extremely lucky).

If you can't get a cabin, it's worth upgrading to club class (about £15 per person).
This gets you access to a lounge wiith reserved seating with nibbles and drinks included in the price.

I think you get 3:1 with Tesco Clubcard vouchers on Irish Ferries

Thanks everyone. Did look at club card a week or so ago but tesco couldn't get the vouchers sent out to me quick enough to get them sent of to ferry company in time :( We are going next week so know I've left it to the last minute. Have looked on Irish Ferries website and price quoted is more then booking it through the company we have booked our holiday cottage through -but still nearly £300 return which is for 2 people and a car. Never travelled by ferry before but thought this seemed quite expensive??

Don't recommend crossing overnight, bleugh. You going with Imagine Ireland by the way? How come you didn't book ferry with the cottage??? I've sailed from Pembroke (blooming) dock, and the terminal building doesn't open until late, and can be a nightmare. Takes 4 hours from Pembroke Dock.
