well no more money to add but spent my lunch break yesterday wandering around the shops and checking in managed to 85p for very little work once it gets to a £1 I can withdraw it. Hope everyone is well on this soggy morning.

Not a sausage for me today but I hope to have another NSD looking good so far!

I'm having real trouble with my student who's with me for 6 weeks (13days so far) he has no respect for me at all, I put that down to his culture but he completely disobeys me when I ask him to come home on time. I said he must be home by 9.30 last night, he went to an under 18's disco and decided to come back at 11. He then stayed up until gone 1am (I don't know the exact time as I fell asleep!) on his iPad and consequently was very late for school. His teacher is very hard to talk to and does all the talking without letting me explain. I've given up now and have told him that if he doesn't come home by 9.30 I will lock the door(this is the schools curfew for his age). I won't give him his own key either as then he'll come back whenever he choses. His English is very very poor and his manners are terrible. I made home made pizzas last night and he took a bite, had a chew then spat it back on his plate! I was fuming, my other 3 student all tucked in so they couldnt of been that bad! His mother rings me everynight to say he doesnt eat vegatables and im to feed him burgers and other junk food(not something my family eats) I made him hamburgers from scratch a few nights ago and he couldnt even be bothered to come down stairs, my son said to him we were having burgers and he told him to go away. I was so angry i fed his dinner to the cat! I'm not sure if I can tolerate another 4 weeks of this.

How rubbish Nat.
Are your other students the same nationality as you - would you be able to see if they could have a friendly word with him?
What happens if you lock him out? I wouldn't blame you - but at the same time wouldn't want you to get in trouble and not be allowed to host any more.
I'm sure there's nothing in the agreements when you take students on to say you have to feed them exactly what they (nor their mothers) demand, so like it or lump it I say.
Is there someone above the teacher that you have tried speaking to, that you could ask to speak with instead?

All different sadly, Italian, Spanish and Turkish! I've been talking to him via google translate do he knows exactly what I expect from him. I feed him what we eat, that's the whole point in him coming here but I wanted him to eat something he liked too so made the burgers. I may lock the door on him but I'll stay up until he gets back, might scare him a little. If I tell the school they will suggest removing him to a new host family, no question but I wanted to see if I can get through to him first before that happens...he's leaving me very little choice though. he's extremely spoilt (his mother wired him money to buy an iPad 3!) so he expects me to do the same.
