Anyone know about LRC limited?

Hi, I have also recieved a text and numerous phone calls from LRC Limited. I am pretty sure I signed up to a dating website a little while ago. The website automatically renewed my monthly subscription (I think this was in the small print), which I was unaware of. When I saw the charge on my bank statement I simply cancelled the direct debit and deleted the dating account. I believe that LRC are chasing this subscription payment. Firstly, I have had no chasing emails from the dating company (which seems to be a American company) so can they simply refer me to a baliff company without even contacting me in the first place?
I was going to pay LRC but after reading this thread am now in two minds. Any advice? I am trying to buy a house and don't want this to affect my credit record. LRC knew my name, address, mobile number etc.. so am slightly concerned!!
Any help is much appreciated! Thanks0 -
It's unlikely to appear on your credit record.
If they know your name and address they can write and explain what this is, rather than you having to guess.
Until then, ignore.0 -
Thanks, LRC contacted me again and have now sent me a formal letter after I requested this. The monies are indeed for a dating website as I mentioned in previous post. I presume that I now need to pay this and its my own fault for allowing the website to automatically re-subscribe me each month? Thanks again for your help!0

hi
im having a problem with LRC from Nottingham, Re-Webbling account.
this so called account (webbling) is ran by a firm in the Netherlands and for the third year running they have tried to take £122.95 out of my bank account, i was lucky that i noticed the withdrawl and put a stop on each trans with no probs (bank returned money) but this time i have ended up with demand from LRC demanding this 122.95 with 40.00 costs. In the past i have sent 3 e-mail to webbling with no reply and i have tried to contact LRC with no response, what do i do now. Other then wait and go court0 -

You think you don't owe this? Then ignore, or send a prove-it
