Tate modern turbine hall/Thames cruise

I am off to London for a day out on Monday 2nd of July and I am trying to find out what is being currently displayed in the Tate modern turbine hall. I have pulled my hair out looking for this on their useless website-
http://www.tate.org.uk/visit/tate-modern
Can anyone tell me if there is anything on display and is it worth seeing.
I also want to surprise my friend by taking her on a Thames cruise again can anyone recommend one to me? (cost, where to catch it etc)
Any other recommendations or must sees? (like culture).

I don't think there's anything in the turbine hall at the moment - the Damien Hirst skull was there until last weekend to accompany the retrospective (which continues until September)..

Assuming you are looking round Tate Modern anyhow, then unless you want a commentary on the river cruise, I suggest just buying a Thames Clipper River roamer ticket (2-4-1 if you are travelling in by train and use the days out offer), which gives you unlimited travel for the day.

you can catch them at Bankside (just outside Tate Modern). Use it on the Tate-to-Tate service to get down to Tate Britain). And/or catch one of the normal clipper services to go down to the O2 and back.0 -

Thanks p00hsticks! Nothing in the turbine Hall (except for silly queues to buy tickets as the staff attempt to sell you some over priced tat) but did pay to see the excellent Damien Hurst exhibition. Then caught the thamesclippers with a 241 roamer ticket and we went from end to end on an almost empty boat and had a great time, especially going under Tower Bridge with the massive Olympic rings suspended from it) Thanks for the great advice- you helped make a great day out.0 -

Glad to be of help - we always make sure to have a day on the Clippers and a visit to Tate Modern whenever we are staying in London.0
