People in debt who make arrangements to pay are not defrauding anyone because thier bank account is empty.

Well no the people that come on and say.. they took my last wage or they took my sick pay or my partners dla.. clearly do have money in there accounts to be taken...

I don't need a solicitor to explain myself to these people at PDL's the point is I never offered or agreed a CPA to them and my money has been refunded and the OFT and FSA have received a complaint in writing - (not e-mail or telephone) from myself[/QUOTE]

Good for you.. hopefully it will save anyone else from the same problem..

Clarify please - where I have I made any bold statements?????????
The bit I quoted where you stated "People in debt work very hard to get out of it."
A lot do for sure, but there is a huge number who work very hard at avoiding getting out of it. It is often a fact that all avenues close to them before they a FORCED to address it, certainly not through choice.

    conisme...

Thats good you managed to pay it all back and I bet you are glad you did and learned like me that it isnt a good place to be..

I was not having a go at everyone that uses payday loans and has a bit of trouble.. I was stating that I do not agree with people taking them and then claiming that they lost there job..

Even if you work on a week to week basis you would be due a final wage not just paid of redundancy money..

If you have debt that should be your first priority why anyone would not wanna pay back what they owe and know that they will be getting charged by the day for every call and letter is just beyond me..

Because just maybe that last payday is all they have to pay priority debts and it is not a case of not wanting to pay back but needing to reschedule with support from a creditor.

The reason these companies justify charging so much is because so many people dont pay them back

    That is the truth.
  • I don't know what to say, you want to stop reading the threads where the likes of Payday Express and their side kicks actually 'discount' other people's dues to our cost and detriment obviously, then

Wonder how they must choose which people to pile charges on?

I dunno perhaps I went wrong and should have lied/ran away!
After all look at the media stories of how horribly these poor people are treated - wait their often the ones who haven't paid a penny!!! or who have had their debt reduced (I can even think of one book author) on the subject where it was obviously exaggarated

But don't worry National Debtline and the like are there for the 'vulnerable' people, really I get it now, it's why I've come to respect lenders like Mini Credit & Toothfairy - least they have a crack at treating everyone the same

if it bothers you reading its simple DONT READ! your post is very degrading to many people , your tarring everyone with the same brush that they take out a payday loan with the intention not to pay, good for you to have paid yours , im on a dmp paying off mine, many find themselves in a situation they cant get out of and try their hardest to do so, how dare you make it sound that its so simple and well done you have had the chance and been able to live on 25 punds a week! with two children many like myself cannot. i found your post very revolting to say the least, if your not in debt why are you reading debt threads?

Maybe take a dose of your own advice.

Someone found themselves in a dismal financial place but knuckled down to dig their way out.... revolting indeed.
