esure home & contents - any good?

Hi everyone, I hope you can help.
Our policy is up for renewal in a couple of weeks time. We are currently with Halifax and have been for years but want to switch to a cheaper provider.
We checked on Moneysupermarket and it looks like we can get a cheap quote from esure. Has anyone dealt with them in the past and can tell me whether to go for it or stay away?

Mixed feelings about them on this board, many people say they do all they can to 'get out of paying' but i'm sure people have had good experiences.0
