Bank Accounts for voluntary Sports Clubs

Hi all
I have recently taken over as treasurer of a non league semi proffesional football club and given what I perceive to be poor service offered by the clubs present bank I'm looking for any advice to the best options for opening a new account with another bank / building society who are more symapthetic and geared up to provide a good service with benefits to voluntary clubs
Our total expenditure per year is approx £6 - 10k with our income matching or slightly exceeding this sum - income and expenditure is on a monthly basis as you would expect.
Any support or guidance would be really appreciated - as volunteers it is becoming increasingly harder year on year to keep such organisations afloat
Any other advice welcomed as well in terms of the pros and cons of becoming a registered charity or any other form of body also appreciated
Best wishes
Gareth

I would say speak to your sports association - either at County or National level for advice.
Good luck with it.0 -
Not Natwest, they don't have a clue about club accounts. Took me four visits to three different branches to get the right forms to change signatories.0
