LinkSys Wag200g problems

Hi,
Really need some assistance here.
I tried installing the new router the other day and it didn't want to know.
I assumed it would be a simple case of installing the software and following the instructions but no.
All the intallation wizard does is tell you where to plug the wires in. Doh!
If I were going from an Ethernet conection to an Ethernet connection then I'm sure that the probs wouldnt arise but at the moment I have a BT Voyager 100 using the phone connection in the back of 'puter and I hope to use the ethernet connection. I.E. wired - not wireless.
I would have thought it easy but obviously not so.
Can anyone tell me where I'm going wrong, please?
How do I set the 'puter up for Ethernet?

Scrap the BT voyager 100 and just connect the Linksys WAG200G into your phone line.0

The WAG200G is an ADSL Modem/Router, it is all you need to connect to the internet using a phone line and it has a built-in wireless router and 4 port LAN switch. Simply connect it to your ADSL enabled phone line and connect the PC to it by the supplied ethernet lead. Or use a wireless device (USB or PCI) to communicate by wireless from PC to the router.
You will need to set up the router correctly and if in doubt follow the instructions given on the CD, or download the support info from the Linksys website.0 -
at most you will just need to enter your ISP user-id during set-upEx forum ambassador
