Your rights are to get a refund or to buy the higher spec laptop at the higher price.

Your rights are to get what you have paid for.

Does your receipt, invoice, delivery note, etc specify the higher spec'd machine?
If so, they have clearly supplied the wrong thing.

If you have no documentation stating that you were due to receive the higher spec'd machine, things might be a little more difficult.

Is the webpage you bought from still available?
If so, take a screen print now before it gets changed.

    Who did you buy from?
Have you got a link to their website?

The higher spec laptop may not even exist, so the retailer just needs to put you back in the position you were before you bought the laptop, i.e. give you a refund.

    Is this the link...
    http://www.littlewoods.com/acer-amd-a6-quad-core-processor-6gb-500gb-156-inch-laptop-with-dedicated-amd-6540g2-graphics---black/1116804243.prd

Even part of that link is...
    acer-amd-a6-quad-core-processor-6gb-500gb-156-inch-laptop-with-dedicated-amd-6540g2-graphics---black
I am sure they are there somewhere, but I can't find them... what do their T&Cs say about when a contract is formed?
A bit of an academic question really, as clearly the contract will have been formed before you received the goods.

Do you have written confirmation that you ordered the higher spec machine?

Littlewoods and Very are the same company and they also have it advertised as the same spec there, and are £100 cheaper than littlewoods

If they've offered a full refund if I were you I would accept that and either order the same lower spec laptop for £100 less from very (may even be cheaper other places I haven't looked) or look for another laptop that meets your spec requirements
