be carefull with the weekly payments, as its possible that not enough with be received within the statement period.

As with most statement periods the Due date can be about a week before the next statement date, e.g. statement date 28th , Due Date 21st..

If in the month you pay (Assume this is date they CREDIT this to the account):
    1st - 10
    8th - 10
    15th - 10
    22nd - 10
    29th - 10

So youve paid £50 in the month, but..
Only £30 was paid before the Due Date.
£10 was received after the due date - but will count towards that statement.. and the last £10 actually goes towards the next months statement amount..

If the minimum payment was over £30 then youve potentially got a late payment charge (£30 was on time - £10 was 'late')..

Late payments then result in the promotional rate being withdrawn..

More sensible is for a Monthly Direct Debit for the minimum amount - cards such as MBNA \ Virgin then allow additional payments as and when you want..
