    What's your budget?

The Signature at MGM Grand would be my personal choice as it's just that bit nicer staying in a hotel without a casino.

Thank you cubegame. I am looking at a budget of 2500-3000 but really want that to incorporate everything or as much as possible.

Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end

Is that in US$ or £? And is that per night, per person, just the hotel?

The Vegas thread will have loads of useful tips.

    Luxor.

One of best priced hotels and best pools on the strip with all day sun.

Funny, for us that's a negative, not a positive. :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

I stayed in the Mirage, excellent location and nice rooms and pool. We also spent 3 nights at a hotel on Fremont St, Golden something or other i forget the name, the pool has a slide going through a shark tank :) Much cheaper to stay there.

I also stayed at the Venetian once before, amazing rooms and again great location. More expensive though!

We have stayed in harrahs and new york new york.

Harrahs was a little dated but very good value and in an amazing location. New york new york was very nice but not worth paying the extra for especially as the locations not the best.

if we went again we would probably stay at harrahs again unless we had a large budget in which case the bellagio would be tempting

However the casino in MGM can be reached in minutes, in some cases quicker than for guests staying there! ;)

The Encore and Palazzo both have excellent rooms. I also like the Encores adult only pool during the week (very busy weekends). I do find it a bit far north though so the walk to other hotels can get tiresome. The Mirage is normally a good price for a decent location mid strip, great pool too. I prefer the location around city centre now though as I like the Cosmo and Aria casinos. I got an excellent rate on a corner suite at Aria last year, look for promo codes online. If you don't want to be in a casino hotel the Mandarin entrance is virtually almost on the strip. One of the cheapest Mandarins anywhere in the world but I found the service not quite up to scratch.
