I have one of these camera's and find it ideal for my usage. Yesterday I got the message SD card full which surprised me. On my return home and transfer to computer, every picture had been stored three times. The thing I noticed that each of the three, were slightly different lighting, ie from a darkish pic, each subsequent pic of the three was slightly lighter.
I've read through the manual and can find no reference to this, and rather than start fiddling with settings, I wondered if anyone can direct me to the procedure to correct this please

I would suggest you read the book again. Many digital cameras have a facility to take a number of shots of the same scene, you then select the best one to keep .
My Nikon takes 5 of each !0 -
Although the book is quite thick, it covers many languages. English is about 12 pages. It was suggested by some see:-
According to the manual on the Pentax website (pg 41, advanced shooting) the 50L has exposure bracketing which will take three shots at varying exposures with every press of the shutter release, it would appear that you have already fiddled with settings ;-) and turned it on. The manual gives full details to turn it back off.
But to access this, I need to be able to download the software manual. My system is windows 98SE and the software is for 2000 and above. So I really need someone who is familiar with this model, to give me a step by step. Untill yesterday everything was fine. The only thing I can think of is when i tried to photo the recent moon eclipse, I must have done something then. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
