PCN- Invalid Ticket?

Quick query on behalf of my boss who's just received a council issued PCN.
The contravention is code 01 parked in a restricted dtreet during prescribed hours.
He can't dispute the contravention, but could he appeal if the information on the ticket is incorrect.
I spotted the location given as Market Place, Newark On Trent, but the location was actually Market Place, Southwell, some 10 miles away.
Would the council need to provide evidence of being 'parked' in this loaction, or is the fact that the location on the PCN is incorrect, this the ticket not being valid?
Thanks for your opinions,
Munchie

Yes wrong location is fatal.
Appeal on the grounds that the contravention as alleged on the PCN did not occur since at the time of the contravention your vehicle was parked in Southwell, some 10 miles away.
Invite the council to verify this by checking their photographic evidence.
They cannot re-issue a corrected PCN for the same contravention0 -
I'll second what Orford has said. I have had two council PCN's cancelled over the years because of the location being incorrect."You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"
