...or is it just that decking stain sounds posher so they can charge more?
I want to freshen up the decking outside my back door (about 6'x6') and also some picket fence. Popped into Wilkos and they have timbercare paint for fences at £8 for 5l or decking paint at about £20 for half the size! Are they the same product? If not would fence/timbercare paint be ok for decking?

No its not, fence paint is for rough woodwork, decking is smooth so the fence paint will just sit on top0

And I imagine you could be trailing the fence paint into your house on the soles of your shoes.0
