Contents Insurance (houseshare)

Hi all,

I'm just wondering whether anyone has any tips for good contents insurance for house sharers. Was hoping to use Nationwide as I have a bank account discount with them but apparently they don't like you living with more than two unrelated people (I live with 5 others).

I'm working but living in a large house share - I know there is student contents insurance but was under the impression that this didn't offer particularly good cover. Any input appreciated.

Thanks!

Normally separate policies required. Just google tenants Personal Possessions Insurance. Endsleigh are one of largest providers of this type of cover.

You have to be a bit careful when looking at this cover and read up on the terms and conditions. If people leave doors and windows open/unlocked, with things going missing, can be difficult to claim.
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.

Maybe try Endsleigh - They seem to do cover for shared accomodation.

Hey, I have cover with Endsleigh and they're pretty good. I live with four others and none of us are related.

I did quite a bit of quote comparing when I was looking for insurance and this seemed to be they seemed to be the most competitive company out there, in terms of price and level of cover.

Also, if you call them from a mobile, they offer to call you back so you don't waste your credit!
