PCN tickets please help !

How long does the council have to respond to representations for a pcn?

i thought it was 28 days but now somebody is saying it is 56?

    They dont have to respond until you are issued with a NOTICE TO OWNER and make a formal appeal.
    They dont have to respond to the formal appeal and you must then take the matter forward to the parking Adjudications where most councils offer up no evidence.
    Many have found silence works best, Ignore any appeals and use Bailiffs acting as debt collectors to frighten payment .
    Hence it is very important to officially appeal the NTO and serve the notice by recorded delivery postal only.

    There is no statutory period within which a council must reply to an informal appeal.

    They cannot send you an NTO before 28 days after the issue of the PCN.

    If you make a formal appeal in response to the NTO they have 56 days to reply either to accept or reject your representations
