Faded laptop touchpad

Can a faded laptop touchpad be replaced?
Just looks out of place on what is otherwise an immaculate laptop

If so,degree of difficulty/DIY job etc?

You will need to replace the entire palmrest which pretty much involves dismantling the entire laptop on many models.

Far better just to find a small local sign company and ask if you can scrounge a bit of scrap vinyl a similar colour and re-cover it with that. I used to do that on some laptops I used to sell and apart from being a slightly different shade of silver to the original you couldn't tell it had been done.
