Some Sky Channels will not record

Sorry if this is in the wrong section but has anyone else had problems trying to record from some sky channels.

the discovery and discovery+1,discovery civilisation,discovery turbo,animal planet channels wont record via my recorable dvd player.

but funny enough the animal planet +1 channel is fine.

iam getting a message saying unable to record current source copyright protected.

nothing wrong with either as i can record on other channels on sky.

I got that a while back, can't remember the channel but the plus 1 still recorded - I just assumed that sky was trying out a new copyright protection system

Sounds like a copyright protection issue. I remember a while back Sky Three went in and out of encryption for a bit. Maybe Discovery/Sky are testing something out??

i read this somewhere else (sorry cant find the link at the moment) But Sky are trying out the new copyright protection on certain channels .

Give Sky a call, I read somewhere that they can send a signal to your box and this resolves the issue.

They already hve done that dameon1024 with no luck.

i had a sky bloke out today he changed the box and its still the same its right annoying.

at least if nothing else i got a silver sky box that matches the rest of my setup LOL.
