Ideal Home Show - worth it?

Thanks once again for all the comments, sounds like it's not worth it unless I happen to be passing by.
There have been a couple of mentions of the Vitality show, which I've never heard of, what's that all about?Stompa0 -
I went to the Ideal show last Tuesday using free tickets. I was glad that I did not pay as it was not a patch on the last time I went over 10 years ago. I am going to the NEC in June for Gardeners World/Good Homes Show/Summer Good Food Show. I went last year when they were seperate shows so this is really good value.:hello: N:hello:A :hello:N :hello:A :hello:M :hello:A :hello:G :hello:S :hello:0

We have exhibited there for the past ten years but, I agree with the previous posters, it has gone downhill. FAST. This year we didn't bother attending and we have noticed no financial impact at all. In fact it's saved us the 60k cost of buying the space, setting up the display and manning the thing!
So, no, I'd not bother if it were me. Even if I lived in Chiswick or Hammersmith!0 -
Have to admit, I'm on the bandwagon of the 'no-goers'. I actually paid for my tickets (yes, more fool me) and went a couple of Saturdays ago. There were 4 showhomes, but they were more 'homes of the future' than anything else. In a show by that name, I'd at least expect to see room setups and designs, rather than a glorified sales show. I wanted room designs and furniture combinations, and barely got that (there was one area to the back corner of the main room with room designs - I just wish there'd been more!)
It wasn't just the NPower reps who were hassling - plenty of other people were. I wish I'd had the benefit of this thread before I booked my tickets... I won't be going again, that's for sure.0
