Off to the Lake district for 4 days..tips?

Hi all you helpful folk!

Taking my bf away Sunday night until Thursday to Lowther Holiday Park up near Penrith in the Lakes and was just wondering if anyone knew of any great activities/places to visit/see whilst we're there?

We will be arriving about 8pm Sunday night as we are going up after he has finished playing in a competition, we're taking his pup and he uses a wheelchair so it needs to be stuff which is accessible. Also, we'd like to do stuff on a budget as we're also saving to go away in October.

TIA

Lakes and mountains. Beautiful, finest scenery in the world. Free.

Can take boat trips on some of the lakes, e.g. Ullswater (not free), don't know about wheelchair or dog accessibility, should be easy to check online.

    41 wheelchair-accessible walks:

  • Rover Recommended dot com has loads of dog friendly attractions in the Lake District. Just pop the postcode or address of where you are staying into the search field on the home page and you'll be spoilt for choice! :) Wishing you all a brilliant holiday and I hope the sun shines for you.

I would add a proper link but I can't as I am a Newbie. Rover Recommended is run 100% in aid of the dog rescue charity Border Collie Trust so any help with a link from any of you more experienced Money Savers would be really appreciated :D
