Casino Royale 2 disc DVD only £7 at Asda and Tesco

I can't get to an Asda unfortunately,but I noticed that my local Sainsbury's was selling the 2disc edition for £8.99 yesterday.

Although this is more than Asda,it works out a better deal than Tesco's as you don't have to buy anything else with it.

I'm sure that it could be bought at a cheap price from someone on ebay after all those greedy people who bought loads thinking they could make some money - may actually lose out.

After checking "Casino Royale dvd" on ebay =
It came up as:- "806 items found for casino royale dvd"
Ranging from 1p to about £20.

So i'm assuming that a lot of people will have to sell theirs for a lot cheaper and lose money. :laugh: Just shows that you should not be greedy!!:p

Just argued with Tesco about this. Seems to me that 2 copies of CR = 1 DVD + a n other. They refused to budge. Shame they won't price match....

Huddersfield Asda have re-stocked the shelves, plenty to be had.

So your local Asda may have too, worth a re-check if you missed out.

Having missed out earlier in the week, I was down at Asda this morning and they had just received another load of boxes in and were unpacking them at the time. Apparently most Asda stores were expecting further deliveries in time for the weekend.

Just got my copy to go with my Bluray and region 3 versions!

To clarify it was £7 for the 2 disk collectors edition

It is the 2006 version of Casino Royale starring Daniel Craig as Bond.

The region 2 DVD that is on sale in the UK has been slightly cut to make the torture scene slightly shorter, it has not been cut out altogether and is still pretty full on, and although it is not at all gory, the implied violence is still there. It was cut to ensure a 12 certificate.:mad:

Casino royale torture

For those of you who arent able to get the asda £7 deal for the 2 disc special editon , the 2 disc CR is at Morrisons at £8.99 and may be at Sainsbury's for less.
As for the torture scene , it is an integral part of the plot and shows how Bond is beoming a ruthless cold bloodied killing machine with limited feelings for himself or others. Apols if this a bit anoracky but it is integral to the film as a whole. Also you can check the oroginal book by ian Flemming.

In the Poole Harbour Asda store they had just put about 30 copies out on display at 1400hrs today and there were no queues at all. One per customer, but they let me buy one at the entertainment counter and one at the checkout. ;-)
