Hi there,
Would like some advice please?
My mum recently wrote to the halifax using the template from here to claim back PPI that she is paying on her credit card. We received a quick response saying they would investigate and then another saying that they were refusing her claim. what do we do now? is there a 2nd letter i should send to the bank or do we go straight to the FOS?
she works for the inland rev, has plenty of employment benefits in place to ensure she can meet her commitments should she be sick etc and definitely does not need the PPI - she has paid previously believing she was just paying the standard interest all credit cards charge.
thank you for any help!

Hi there
You can try writing back, tell them you do not agree with the decision they made because.............
Ask them to reconsider with the further information provided.
Did they say if it was the final decision or not?
The final decision should be enclosed with details of the eligibility of complaining to the FOS, so if you've not received this with a leaflet, write back and ask them to review with the reasons given.
Even though sometimes they will still review if a final decision has already been given, in that case request they let you know by about 14 days, and if you hear nothing or if they do not change the decision, move on to complain to the FOS.
Keep at them, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
thank you! will write a response for her tonight!0
