Hotel overbooked, now demanding a room change - rights?

My daughter (18 y/o) and her 11 friends booked a holiday for a week in Kavos, Greece in October 2011. Now, a week before she is due to depart, the hotel has phoned up telling us that they have overbooked and they are demanding she moves to a another hotel.

The new hotel has absolutely no information on it whatsoever. You cannot find it at all when searching the internet. There is also no pool available, unlike the previous hotel. The new hotel is also a 3* rating, compared to the previous hotel's 4* rating. The location is also much further out of the main town which is the main reason why they booked the cancelled hotel.

The booking was abta protected.

Can anyone please give me more information as to what her rights are in this situation?
