hello
it's my 1st time posting here and english is not my first language.
I had a surveyor walking through and made me an order for free cavity wall and loft insulation
the only thing where i'm in doubt is today i checked the company website and couldn't find anything.
the surveyor claimed to be from "giga energy"
i noted from his papers : gigaenergy.co.uk, info@gigaenergy.co.uk, 08001930087
and the isolation company should be "everworm" with 02089027290 (london office) and 01506638600 for headquarter in scotland.
=> is it risky ? is it a scam ? should I be worried ?
they don't seem to make me pay it's just that some unknow company will do something and I have no clue who they are, no website no feedback.
(i asked british gas but they were too busy or not available)
thank you for your help

There are quite a few of these companies springing up, as they get their money off the government so it is quite lucrative.
As long as you get the work done and the paperwork afterwards, then it should be fine. But if you don't trust that company, you can pick another
The company should be a member of an association such as https://www.nationalinsulationassociation.org.uk and give a guarantee from https://www.ciga.co.uk for the cavity walls
Also research at https://www.energysavingtrust.org.uk0 -

=> is that good ? (someone told me it should be rockle wool, i see glass wool here)

Glass wool is the same as Rockwool. And glass wool is better than the eps beads in my opinion. But either will do the same job
For the wall insulation there is not much for you to check. They will drill a lot of holes, pump the insulation in and then fill the holes up. All you can do is make sure all the holes are pointed up afterwards
For the loft insulation, quilted glass wool would be much better than blown cellulose. Just make sure its all nice and flat, any electric cables should ideally be put on top of the insulation - but they may not stretch, and then the insulation should be pressed down at the edges where it meets the roof felt to leave an air gap into the roof0
