    NSD #4 today and 2 in a row :D
We even walked to the shop to use the cashpoint to get a balance on one of our accounts that I can't log in to online, and walked out with nothing but the knowledge that we have £518 in there and the resolve not to touch that account. Our challenge this month is to buy all our groceries with money we have made selling our clutter. A very tough challenge but if was easy it wouldn't be a challenge and we wouldn't learn from it.
    Wish me luck!

Not a NSD today already - stopped at BnQ to get some cable clips (only need one but the phone wire is hanging down at the front porch and driving me potty) however, I did manage to tie it into another mystery shop so not too bad. Still smarting from the framing cost yesterday.

Oh, but I did work out from my receipts that from May 2011 to May 2012 I saved roughly 39% on my groceries due to coupons and deals (prob a bit more as I didn't count all the multibuy savings to start with). This doesn't include any savings made from price offers like 1/2 price. Total in money terms is just over £1k!!!!

    Good afternoon folks,

I've a hangover here if anybody wants it, as red had way too much red last night:o. That said, we were out with friends and had a very good night of food and wine:). I am not going out today and will be avoiding the perils of internet shopping, so am happy to declare NSD5 for today please:)
Kerri, the money you save on shopping amazes me at times and I wish I had access to as many coupons as you. I agree about trying to support local businesses too, although it can be difficult when things are much more expensive than you'd expect to pay elsewhere. That said, the internet and big supermarkets have had a major effect on the high street and once it's gone, it probably won't come back, as independent businesses are still continuing to close at an alarming rate:eek: and I doubt that the supermarkets will go out of there way to help us save money if that happens:mad:.
LMH, I hope you get an NSD soon.
If, love the picture with the salmon trying to cross the road:T
I hope everyone else is well and enjoying the weekend. I'm off to see if I can shift this hangover.
If you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.

    £2 savings jar £300:D
Total credit card debts £1250:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: - Will I ever learn!!
