    morning all!

    Camelot - have a lovely last day x x

RR - fingers still crossed here x x

    day off:j:D

just had a coffee with my sis - she occasionally often pops round on her way to work and we have a manic half hour natering and catching up:)

Off shortly to get my hair cut then home to dye it. Got to tax my car too while I'm out.

Later I'm off out to lunch with some work mates to celebrate a friends birthday - she's retired now but its lovely to meet up again.

Stewed some home grown rhubarb and froze it. Beetroot are growing well plus carrots. We've had a nice small box of spuds out of the garden too.:) slugs have nibbled away at the beans and salad leaves though!

WM is on its second load. Overcast here but quite humid. Washing the dogs blankets now.

Have a great day all and ((hugs)) to those in need x x

Little bear went to school with his first packed lunch. I had been holding out and holding out, but little bear's friends all have packed lunches and one of them asked his mum to make little bear a packed lunch. I finally caved. I am not sure about it. I am confident that little bear will have a better variety of food at school dinners, for possibly less cost. And being me I looked at the lunch box and thought - 'poor starveling child, what will they think of such small rations'. He took one round of ham sandwiches, three mini scotch eggs, a cake bar, a packet of raisins, a small bunch of grapes and a drink. He would never finish that lot at home. He is five. I'll see how he does when he gets home.

    Beeferoni for tea tonight.

    hugs to all

    Hester, seriously, write your autobiography!

Judi - please be meticulous with the tablets. They have made a really positive difference to my dad's life, but when he got a bit casual and forgot them, he ended up collapsing in church. The tablets are definitely worth it for him, but you have to be a bit careful. I hope you feel better soon.

    Hello everyone,

hope you are all doing ok so far. Its a very dull and cloudy day here but at least it isn't raining yet. In work at mo, really quiet as no-one has been in yet. I will have to get my book out soon as totally bored now :D

Went to my dd3 tutor review evening last night and she is doing well so pleased with that and dd2 goes to her open evening at college today to get ready for Sept.

Had soup out of a tin last night for tea as I'm fed up of pots and veg all the time now. SW isn't working, only lost 1 lb last week and I emptied the biscuit barrel last night too.:o

Going to have fish from the freezer and some salad veg tonight I think.

Brother has just reminded me of the 2 day camping trip I foolishly agreed to at end of July last night. Me and my big mouth, I'm too old to do toilets in a field now. I wonder if we will have summer by then?

Have a good day everyone and hugs to whoever needs them at the moment. :)

    Hi everyone,
hugs to those ill or struggling in any way.
Quite dull here (sun is trying to peep through though), hope it stays that way for a bit still catching up on the washing- line is full!
Did some more sewing - can now wear my raincoat again!
Shopping later, am trying to empty freezer so will have to be careful with purchases.
Need to take the dog first though and perhaps again later. Could do with doing a bit more decluttering but not sure if I'll manage it.
    Have a good day.

    Mawnin' all <yawn>

Sorry - I was still awake at 02:30, when Mr LW needed a loo break, so not quite with it at present.:o

Miffy and IM kitty pics asap, pretty please.:o I can't have cats myself (I have an allergy to cat fur, and it wouldn't be a good plan with the canine guests anyway) but I love pics of any furbabies.:D

Mogs keeps escaping so I’ve had to clip her wing. I hate doing it, those feathers are meant to be there and it just feels wrong to change something that’s natural. She’s been protesting loudly at not being able to fly up on to the fence :D
Aww, I know what you mean, but if she gets out and gets hurt.... it's just a shame you can't sit her down and explain to her.:o

I’m trying to build up – or rather, restart – my emergency fund. It won’t last long though, I need to see a dentist and the guttering needs replacing.
I really need to make sure I'm awake before I read the thread; I was trying to fathom out how come your dentist does guttering, or is it some new form of dental treatment!:rotfl:

Thanks to all of you for the good wishes for my Mum. She went to the fracture clinic yesterday and was told that it was still too swollen to have a permanent cast put on. She has got to keep the temporary one on till then. Dad has borrowed a wheelchair for her and is getting used to pushing her around.
Aww, bless her; what sort of chair has she got? Mine has the large rear wheels, so that I can self-propel a bit, and at least maneouvre (sp?) into position by myself. It does take a bit of practise, though!:D

I agree. Both Mr LW and I are on tablets; I always put out the next day's doses the night before (one pot of three for him, and one of eleven, a second of eight, and a third of five for me) and I have alerts programmed into my mobile phone to remind me to take them (and by default, ensure he's taken his). And I always re-order well before we run out. Take care, Judi, and I hope they make you feel lots better.:o

Hello chums I have had a bit of a busy week Monday I went with DGS Ben to find him a rented suit for his 'prom' next week and we found a lovely charcoal grey one that fitted him like a glove then we had to get him some new shoes and a skinny fit shirt and tie All got eventually.Lots of too-ing and fro-ing from shops with him though.Yesterday I had to wait in for DD for a delivery that was promised before one, it arrived at 5 to one exactly Still it meant I could put my feet up at DDs and do some knitting whilst being fed copious amounts of tea by said grandson Ben after all the chasing around I did for him:D Today he has his last two GCSEs this morning then he is finished until September.:j
I dropped the little ones off at school Mikey had to be a bit earlier as his year 6 are off to the British Museum today, he was so excited as he said he wanted to see the rosetta Stone (strange boy that one :D) .Supposed to be back at 4,00 but I'll believe that when I see it as the past four times the children have gone when they were in Year six 4.00 stretched to anytime between 4 -6 depending on traffic.Looks like my Kindle will come in handy this afternoon while I'm waiting for him
Henry has cricket so he's no problem, and Jack at 12 and a half is capable of making himself a snack and getting on with his homework.

Tomorrow I have my new O/therapy lady coming to visit as my previous one has gone on matrenity leave.I think its just a 'Hello I'm Gemma ' meeting

Friday morning I have the dentist for a check-up and in the afternoon I have History club and thats my week whistled by in a flash.
sistercas I'm glad you enjoyed 'Billy Elliot' my eldest Dd took me a few months ago and I thought it was just amazing. One of the best shows visually I have seen
I should really go to see my hairdresser and get a trim, but I am hoping to hang on a couple more weeks until its near to my holiday iyswim.Only 7 weeks this Saturday and fingers crossed the weather is kind, but I'm not too fussed as just to have a nice break will be great .I was watching the tennis yeasterday, and I quite enjoy it as I used to play years ago when I was far more mobile than I am now, and there's something so relaxing about watching Wimbledon with a cup of tea and my knitting, definitely growng old I think :):)
Right I hope everyone has a good day and the sun is shining down on your washing, as my old Mum used to say:rotfl:
    Cheers chums

    Hi all.

Busy morning doing all sorts of things not on my list. Cooked a decent lunch (mince topped with sliced potatoes and cheese sauce. cabbage, leeks and carrots followed by some YL strawberries and a dollop of ice cream) as the rev has gone out and has wall to wall appointments so won't see her again till late tonight.

Just heard from my DGD who has just finished her exams and is looking forward to her prom on the 13th July. She bought her prom dress in the January sales - I guess girls are more organised when it comes to their appearance - and is well set up for shoes etc. I've sent her some money for some special perfume as she seems to have everything else.

Gardening. Ahem! I pulled up a dandelion. Just the one among the small plantation of them that occupies my flower beds. Well, it's a start.

Miffy: Oh, I envy you your ginger kitten. Until 5 years ago when the piece of my heart called Oscar died, I had always had a ginger cat. Others as well, but always a ginger one. Right from 1941 when my first ginger (Bill) came to live with me and patiently put up with my childlike adoration. When Oscar died a part of me died with him and I've never been able to face a replacement. There is something very special about them. I wish you many happy years with your little imp of mischief.

RR: Choke down the tablets and pray! Fingers crossed.

LW: I was horrified at the number of pills you have to take. Is there room in your stomach for food?

Now, do I get on with the church magazine or go out into the garden? Oh look, it's spitting with rain. Shame. Decision made then.

Have trouble remembering how to fly.

Lol it might go some way to explain why I have such a tiny appetite!:D I know, it's like astronaut-food! Not as bad as it was - at one time I was up to a total of 32 pills each day!! And some of them were gigantic horse-pills, too! Luckily, the days of sulfasalazine (sp?) are behind me; they were huge, bright orange, and they turn your wee orange, and I was taking 5 of them a day. Oh, and you're supposed to have monthly blood tests (sshhh - I used to skip the blood tests) so I wasn't sorry to lose those ones - I take 1 Plaquenil tablet instead of them, now.;) Also, the number of tablets has recently increased by two, because they no longer make Moclobemide in 300mg tabs, just 150mg, so I have to take twice as many. It does seem a lot when you add them up, but they keep me functioning, so I put up with it.:o
