Purchase of tesco gift vouchers

Please can anyone adivise re section 75 for the loss of £100 of tesco gift vouchers.

Tesco say I can't claim as it is just like cash and say they can not check their data base to see if the thief has used the card.

thanks

Pedro

It is cash. End of story.

Even if they weren't, you can't claim under section 75 for somebody pinching something.

"I bought a painting on my credit card, but it has been stolen. The gap on the wall is not fit for purpose" does not allow a S75 claim.

Home contents insurance might be an option, but the small claim might be outweighed by any excess and the impact of future premium increases.
