Really, Is this true, is it definitely true as I may be in deep doggy doo doo if it is! The claim I have used the agency for thought was for a loan that was paid in full many moons ago, nothing to do with my DMP. Certainly nobody pointed this out to me so I also assume they could not enforce this? The other claim, that I am doing myself, is with egg and that is in my DMP so they are welcome to it.

Are you 100% positive as I may need to make some phone calls if this is the case?

You should check the terms & conditions you signed as it will say in there. Not all companies do charge the fees in this situation, I used The Fair Claims Company Uk & advised them of my circumstances. They agreed only to charge fees of any money returned directly to me & waive red money that was used to reduce my arrears on two out of three of my accounts.

I don't think this is normal, the lady I spoke to said most companies wouldn't do this but they would. They seem to be more ethical (if that's possible) as their fees are low too!

Good luck, I know you can cancel your agreement too but there is usually an admin charge I think.
