Aquatics! Primarily Aquatic frogs; Questions about a new set up

Hello!
So I got a biorb flow 30 for birthday, and had toyed with the idea of just throwing in some neons for amusement for the cat (not to catch! more like it being Fish TV) and then when I was in the pet shop, I spotted some "Gold albino frogs" about an inch long floating about in with goldfish. This piqued my interest to go away and look up aquatic frogs (Surely they need to come out at some point! First thing I learnt was there were truly aquatic frogs who did just live in water)
This has interested me to actually go aquatic with my flow. The ones in the shop, turned out to be African clawed frogs which upon inspection grew really quite big, so I'm now looking at the African Dwarf frogs as they're maximum size is much smaller.
I am holding fire as I go away for two weeks in sept, and I don't especially want to abandon them for two weeks, but wonder if I need to set things up before to leave to "settle"
I intend on getting two dwarfs, a little apple snail (not so little at the end!) and maybe a fighting fish, or two. One thing I don't understand regarding adding things like live shrimp. Is this food for the frogs, or company?
Can anyone recommend a good book I can look at specifically dealing with aquatic frogs (That is actually available in uk!)? I find a lot to do with frogs, but not those that are fully aquatic.
Does anyone have any good advice from keeping their own aquatic frogs?
