Festival with kids - how to save money?

We are going to Camp Bestival this year (first festival) and read/taken lots of advice on what to get and take re: necessary camping equipment/all-weather gear etc.
However I am now wondering what we are likely to be pestered into buying at inflated prices and what we can plan for in advance. Have already bought cheap Snazaroo face-painting kits and glowsticks from Poundland.
Anything else we can take? (Kids are 7 and 3).
Thx
