  • Start with the people you know, groups you are part of. Then look into stalls and social media. Find a business who targets the same market but with different products and work together by sharing a stall, promoting each other, getting flyers printed to hand out and having one side each to split the cost

    If you create a Facebook page you may want to start going through the process of creating an advert but not actually go through with it. I did that and they emailed me a £25 advertising voucher a few days later to tempt me to sign up for advertising

    My likes have climbed from a dire 8 to a slightly less dire 21 as a result of the advertising. Not worth paying the £25 for but I'll take it for free. Some of the targeting tools of Facebook advertising are quite powerful too. My business is a photography one and I targeted people in my local area who were parents, expecting a baby or engaged to be married

    Just make sure you set an advertising limit equal to the value of the voucher to avoid being charged
