OP you were very worried about the wording in your initial thread with regards to the gifted deposit letter and wanted to know exactly what was meant by a paragraph.

Call me suspicious and cynical but there appeared to be much more to your concern. I suspect Nationwide are concerned as to the source and conditions of the deposit(s).

Was any of the deposit from somebody who was to reside in the property but not party to the mortgage?

Was any of the deposit from a non family member?

I asked earlier but you didn't respond.

Sorry no deposit was from family members but there were 7 different members gifting the deposit and i think nationwide found that a bit suspicious as to why there are so many people gifting, and as far as the letter goes i wasnt happy with it either

I mean clearly this is an inexperienced broker given the deposit information. Usually sounds like an estate agent in house advisor...

Whether or not the case I cannot say, although this does sound dodgier by the hour.

Best rates do not usually apply to unusual circumstances...

any deals someone can recommend and who processes application quickly?

nationwide only asked for my husbands and mine wage slips, my husbands p60, and employer reference for my husband thats it and took 12 working days from submitting application to receiving full offer. Is there any other lender who will accept us and process the application quickly?

Agreed Dave, the more new info disclosed the more suspicious it looks. Breaf and butter to Nationwide, not this sort of app.

28 day turnaround, girftex deposits from 7 sources, paid in cash (your income) ....Countrywide all over it.

Poor fact find and information gathering in my opinon. It may be the case of getting a full app thru and figures to head office from the brokers point of view.

OP even if you did appeal to nationwide, the response will go into next week easy. Better off writing it off and going to another lender.

    Estate agent chain.

Where was your broker from? Nationwide, estate agent or independent?
