Hi
Being obsessed with Eastern Europe, I have decided to visit Ukraine.
Having used Skyscanner.net, it appears the cheapest return flight from ANY uk airport in September is £107.00. Seems a lot! Is it always this expensive?
Is anyone here good with geography and able to perhaps suggest another country we could fly into for cheaper then get a train or coach across to Ukraine? Is this even a possibility?
Where is worth visiting in the Ukraine? We would like a mix of the good sights and also a town or 2 less touristy.
Nothing is set in stone at the moment so all suggestions welcome!
Thanks in advance

Do you really consider £107 for a 3000 mile round trip to be expensive? Take away taxes of fuel prices and I'm amazed that the airline is making any money at all at that price. For years we got spoiled by 99p flights to Europe. Those days are over.
Never been to Ukraine but it has done its image a lot of good with Euro 2012 and it looks like an interesting place.0 -
Looking at a flight from Heathrow to Kiev, the taxes alone are £99.
I am paying more than 3 times that to go from Edinburgh to London and back tomorrow!0 -

Wondering if there's a typo here. If you mean one hundred and seven pounds, as written, then that's bloody cheap!0 -
Check out Air Baltic.
Maybe you could get a dirt-cheap Ryanair flight to Riga, then an affordable onward flight. Or maybe not.0 -
Get it booked its a bargain.0
